My friends and family are making fun of the Florida Keys (and ME). I have to admit is is a bit laughable when the weatherman on the local news says, “The Keys is preparing itself for an Arctic blast.”
So for the last 3 days the highs have not gotten out of the 50’s and we hit a low of 48 where I live night before last… while you laugh at me since you are all freezing with below 0 windchills let me say I do understand. I lived and worked OUTSIDE for 7 years in Wisconsin.
Having said that, it is pretty hilarious that the locals are walking around with parkas on while visitors to the Keys are playing in the surf and loving every minute of it. This IS the coldest it ever gets in the Keys and by tomorrow our highs will be back in the mid 70’s.
Winter in the Keys… man you gotta laugh at anyone who would complain!
